Our People

Supporting Our Staff

Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy and values equally apply to the people who work for us and not just the people we support. A variety of people chose to work at Blossom view whether that be those new to Health and social care or those with experience our main requirement is that people believe in what we believe.

Continuous Improvement

Training

We want our colleagues to come to work and have new opportunities to develop personally and professionally – we offer numerous personal development opportunities for our staff who all are able to enrol on Diploma Level training and do shorter courses in areas such as Makaton, Mental Health First aid, Competence assessing.

Support and Nurturing

Our Workplace

We have a very low turnover of staff and absence rate at Blossom view, why not take a look at our people statistics. We also challenge our people to continuously improve by reflecting on practice and looking at how we can improve what we do. Importantly we understand that people spend a lot of their time at work and we want that time to be fun. We believe if people have fun at work, they are more likely to be happier and therefore make less errors and provide better support

A Rewarding Place To Be

Our Ongoing Development

Social care is a rewarding career and we have experience of developing people who either want to gain experience and then go and do health related training such as Nurse, paramedic etc or people who want to stay in the social care sector and develop within Blossom view and be promoted to higher levels.

High Standards

Benefits

To support our staff, we also have a number of benefits including membership to Reward Gateway which provides money off and discounts on shopping and Membership to BUPA healthcare scheme.

In return we expect people to promote out values and comply with our behaviour framework which can be found here, the basic principle though is a dedication to high standards.

” Hi I’m Ben and I am a senior care support worker on nights at Blossom Wellbeing Group, I started in September 2019 and absolutely love my job. I have worked in health and social care for 15 years in many settings supporting service users with very different needs, and I can honestly say that I haven’t worked anywhere so professional, who’s standards are so high and has as much teamwork than Blossom Wellbeing Group. All the staff are well trained, caring and put 100% into the people we support so I feel privileged to be part of the team. The work can be hard but extremely rewarding supporting people with complex health needs, but the service users make it all worthwhile and have great personality’s even giving me stick about my bald head. Blossom Wellbeing Group has three core values which are 1 promote fun, which I believe happens on a daily basis all service users and staff alike laugh, joke, do activities even sing and dance 2 create opportunities, speaking for myself I have been promoted this year and currently doing a TAQA course all thanks to Blossom Wellbeing Group 3 continuous improvement, as a member of staff we have all completed online training and attended multiple training courses to improve working practices I can even semi use a computer now but don’t ask me to write any software programmes. The management team are fantastic easy to approach and very supportive even with nonwork-related matters the home couldn’t be in safer hands with Nicky as manager. “
